1950s-era advertisement for Rice Chex and Wheat Chex cereals from an episode from 1953 Space Patrol Space Magic Pictures provides the premium. After staring at the negative image on the card in "was particularly marked fields of wheat and rice Chex Chex" - for thirty seconds after the statement - you could actually see the picture. That's because it temporarily "burned" in the retina, similar to images that remain stationary for a long time on a computer monitor, "burned" into the screen....
